10 Things The Holy Book Teaches About Fornication

This is another opportunity for us to educate ourselves on what our religion teaches about various social situations. It is important, as a Christian, to get a clear idea on what the bible teaches about certain social issues. Today, we will look at 10 Bible verses that talks about fornication.

 1. Flee from $exual immor*lity. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the $exually immor*l person sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body. ( 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 )

 2. Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the $exually immor*l and adulterous. (Hebrews 13:4)

 3. Nevertheless, [to avoid] fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband. ( 1 Corinthians 7:2 )

 4. Now the works of the flesh are evident: $exual immor*lity, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, SinParties, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. (Galatians 5:19-21)

 5. No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. (1 Corinthians 10:13)

 6. Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the $exually immor*l, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homo$exuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 6:9-11).

 7. If a man seduces a virgin who is not betrothed and lies with her, he shall give the bride-price for her and make her his wife. If her father utterly refuses to give her to him, he shall pay money equal to the bride-price for virgins. (Exodus 22:16-17)

 8. Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: $exual immor*lity, impurity, pa$$ion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. ( Colossians 3:5)

 9. But if they cannot exercise self-control, they should marry. For it is better to marry than to burn with pa$$ion. (1 Corinthians 7:9)

 10. If anyone thinks that he is not behaving properly toward his betrothed, if his pa$$ions are strong, and it has to be, let him do as he wishes: let them marry —it is no sin. (1 Corinthians 7:36)
